Highlights of performance improvement experience:

Project Ellen – led the inventory optimisation programme for a fashion retailer. Chris led the detailed transaction level analysis to identify 50% overstocking and the levers to implement to release significant cash to fund the turnaround of the business.

Project Steel – spent 6 months working with a major global steel producer on optimising their accounts payable (working capital). This focussed on levers to implement across the globe to ensure a structured and standardised process. In excess of $350 million cash released.

Project Berkhamsted – spent 4 months at this UK food manufacturer, focusing on identifying short term cash initiatives to improve the cash flow position for a bond payment. Chris then established structural levers to ensure better management of working capital especially around accounts payable.

Project Pond – spent 6 months at a global chemicals company. Chris led the accounts receivable work stream through the detailed planning phase, holding interviews with key stakeholders involved in the process of collections and providing a plan for extensive improvements to help with overdue collections.

Project Charger – led the cash flow review of a FTSE 100 listed consumer retail business, reviewing the basis of preparation for the 13-week cash flow forecast and assessing it against best practice. Chris identified both process and performance improvements and provided detailed recommendations and a roadmap to deliver the benefits.
